These are my guys. The 17 yr old is 6'1" and still sprouting. The 14 yr old was born with an old soul, understands things way beyond his age. Met my hubs when I was 18. He's a keeper! Oh, Linda, the grandma thing actually happened, and it was when my youngster started kindergarten, so I was even 10 yrs younger! Us "mature" moms tended to congregate. Avoided the generation gap!
My other half has been mistaken as my Dad on more than one occasion :gig He is 14 years older than me, to me though I just don't see the age gap.

No. We are just an hour north of San Francisco. Lots of Chinese and Filipino hapa babies around. It's not unusual.

I know a Chinese woman who looks like my hub's sister, married to a guy who could be my brother. One of their boys looks hapa, the other looks completely caucasian. I used to tease her that everyone will think her beautiful son was mine!

I claim my nieces who picked up the coloring and like to make the joke... If your mother was here... To my kids if they are misbehaving.

A CHRISTMAS INVITATION TO MY BYC FRIENDS

Due to Martha Stewart once again refusing my last-minute invitation, we will have extra room at our Christmas dinner table. You all are welcome.

I was short on time and since I don't have to impress Martha, I have made a few small changes to this year's celebration...

Our sidewalk will not be lined with homemade paper bag luminaries. After a trial run, it was discovered that no matter how much time consumed decorating them, the rows of flaming bags just did not have the welcoming effect we had in mind... neither did the burning dog food, laying mash or kitty liver bags. I'm on a tight budget. Hey, I tried.

To guests arriving from snow-free climates, it is not a good idea to play or dig in the the winter wonderland in our yard. The smooth, calm, sparkling blanket of snow is beautiful but, trust me, there are unpleasant surprises under there. I need to remind parents of small ones to be especially mindful of their children and do not let them eat the yellow snow! We have dogs. Enough said.

Please excuse the muddy-looking mess on the front sidewalk. It was very icy and I requested that salt or cat litter be liberallt sprinkled for safety. I did not realize some thrifty joker would have put down the used litter directly from the cat box. I am, however, quite impressed with the extra traction from the lumpy bits. Please don't forget to remove your footwear before entering the house.

Once inside, guests will notice that due to the cats helping, the entry hall is no longer decorated with the handmade swags of evergreens, herbs and bows. The cats ate them like a salad and promptly threw them back up. We felt it best not to try again. Instead, the dog's
Very Cute Newfie, sorry I gave you a ovation, but inadvertently gave credit to Wishing. Please forgive my CRS :gig

Hey, thanks Lisa!

I need some feedback. My Callie kitty is going to die soon. (kidney problems) I can probably spend some money and fix her up for a while. She's 16. I am choosing not to because she pees everywhere! She has not used a litterbox in 5 years or so. She's even peeing in my bed! I feel awful because I could take her to the vet and prolong and improve her life, but I'm sooooo tired of the peeing. Your thoughts, please

So many hugs to you - - for me, it comes down to quality over quantity -- what is the point of giving her a longer life it is just a longer life of struggle and pain? She is 16 - she has had a good, long life. You have dealt with her issue for five years - far longer than many would have. In your shoes (was there just this past spring with my old man Hugger), we opted to go with quality of life over extending his life by a few more years. It broke my heart, I miss him dearly, but I do not for one second regret or second guess that it was the right decision for all involved.

Just gonna throw this out there... When I first found out I was pregnant with my third child I was well over 200 pounds at a towering height of 5'1. I went to a nutritionist to lose weight during my pregnancy and weighed about 160 after giving birth.. That is a good weight for me... I got sick when I got pregnant with Brandon so I lost a ton of weight.. Not healthy weight loss... I looked sick.. I am now gaining back my weight to a comfortable level with my meds now.. All of my pictures look different as far as my face looks.. It kind of depends on what point of the sickness I was in.

I gained 20 lbs with #1 son, 20 lbs with #2son, and 20 lbs watching my mom die. I haven't made a serious attempt to lose it, but it's starting to pull on my bones now, so think it's time to lose my baby fat! The other 20 I will keep as my emergency survival kit.

Well we have flood warnings and crap like that now. A few hours ago the Kids said that the water beside our road was about a half inch from covering the road. Hopefully pearl can get home without swimming.
