ya and I am not bad like I used to be when I first started. Plus I will have a BIG window. I wish I could of gotten a sheet of magnified glass for part of it though.

Morning y'all. Raining here, but it's supposed to be done pretty early.

I don't think I can afford the svart honas right now. Even if I could, I'm at least a month away from having a safe enough place for them to live. Plus I don't know if anyone around here could afford them. 42% of folks in my zip code live beneath the poverty line, so I'd have to rely on traveling or shipping.

I'm ready to start building fancy little coops. I've got the most gorgeous ideas in my head. Like doll houses for chickens. And I'm not charging $$$$ like these websites sell their kits for, because that's silly. Just gotta get stuff cleaned up first.

I've cooled my heels on hatching, for now. Maybe next month.

I think it cost close to $100. to ship a full grown chicken. It did from Ca. to here.

Well if I hatch RIGHT NOW then I can sell started pullets in the spring, and that's just good business. Maybe I'll just go get some eggs from the lady up the road... She's got leghorns and RIR all running around together. Mixed chicks don't go high, but mixed pullets do because eggs is eggs.
