That's what I figured I don't hatch ,if my hens git broody I letem go as long as I sustain enough to eat and lay I'm happy all though I got 100 leggerns ordered for March but ima build another coop and run for them

Congrats, its so much fun with a good broody. My broody momma that hatched 7 almost 4 weeks ago is great. I even set up a hen cam in the Silkie coop to watch her throughout the hatch. She turned the eggs about every 1/2 hour & right up until the chicks hatched. Surprised the heck out of me. Shot that theory that they can't be desturb those last 3 days because it will mess up the humidity. She continued to turn the eggs right up until the chick hatched & she hatched 7/7.
