Morning Bert.

Nothing new, really. We've been traveling to Lake Charles (three times this week) scavenging pallets. I'm selling some pullets this weekend and then it think I'll have enough for the stain, or at least a start on it. I think I'm going to mismatch the colors, since we have mismatched boards, so getting two gallons at a time won't be an issue.

Two gallons is not likely enough. DH was saying "five gallons" and "a hundred dollars!" when we were talking about costs of things, so that's been my goal.

I don't know how many the pullets the guy will want. He got three last time. I told him I could part with four. If he gets all four that would be $60. Plus the $15 from last nights eggs, and expecting two checks in the mail. e

heck, around here some folks get near $20 per pullet if they are close to laying age.....

Between 6 and 9 months. They could go for more, but they're mixed breeds so I always feel a little bad asking high dollar. This is a return customer driving from Baton Rouge, so I'm cutting him a little slack.
