seramas ! i have still been trying just not saying. 2 broody mamas, they gave up on their eggs . they sat all day and half the next cold, ice cold . thought i would give a candle and see whats what. they all looked ok except for no movement. Tom said stick them in the bator, i did. 5 hrs. later i see movement. they look to be a few days away yet but they are past due. 8 eggs from one hen and one from another.

That is exactly how we ended up with Polish many years back - I saw them and just *had* to have "the chickens with the funny hair" (I was like 7 ish at the time).
