He was fourth in line, but we thought he was the best fit for Ben. Now I'm talking to the next best, a stay-at-home mom with two boys, maybe DDs age and older. I don't get a good feel from them (afraid Ben will be a yard dog), but DH says it's better than the shelter. :/
How about a home visit to their place (ben's prospective parent's ) or have them sign a paper making it conditional upon ben NOT being a yard dog. and its still early you can always keep looking.
