i didnt know they were here ol mare, they look like those florida water bugs(roaches) palmetto bugs what ever they are called but about half the size i guess. Suzierd, i wasnt hanging around for no picture. lol i just found my polish roo that is with the guineas with its pecker broke. top one and i think its in his mouth. cant reach them after they go to roost so i will have to catch it before i let them out in the morning. why is it always the big roosters i have to hold down? i finished the bedroom painting today. i like it. gonna have to go shopping for a pretty lamp.
 
all them guinea eggs and 5 keets so far. i candled last night and i think there are 6 more viable. all the rest went bye,bye. i open a few and they were turned wrong. guess thats what happens when they double stack them. such a drawn out hatch. be glad when they are done. kinda tickles me though when i call my neighbor and he is here in 2 seconds flat with a small box and a big grin. on a different note , my husband is still on oxygen and it is driving him mad. i dont think he will come off it but i am not breaking the news. it tangles so bad on him and he is frustrated with it. he is dancing without me, You put your left foot in , you take your left foot out..........
 
NOW i have seen it all ! when were the babys hatched? less then a week? i dont even want to post this. unless i have completely flipped and i dont think i have or oh, i dont know !!! one of them babys is crowing. yup thats what i hear. not just once but over and over again. call the loony bin, i am gone. it is arching its neck and making the crow syllables.3 of them but in a baby tone. its not choking, eating and drinking fine. i am scared, has anyone heard of this before? i know i havent. you dont know how bad i wish i could share this. it has doubled in size too, way over its mates. and no, i am not giving it any drugs. and no, i am not taking any either. have i lost my mind?
 
really? oh thank god, i thought i had lost my mind ! i went back out and checked it ,it has little spurs already and wont run from me like the others and the others are picking food from his beak. never in a million yrs. would i have thought or even believed that had someone told me. i would of sweared it was fake somehow.
 
it is still just down with the start of wing feathers. i am gonna try and find them and see if they are the same, thanks enola
 
sweet, it sounds like the 4 week old Araucana on utube . i still dont hardly believe it. and i heard and seen it myself !
 
I have some little game roosters that are not even feathered out completely that have started fighting amongst themselves. I don't mean chest bumping, I mean drawing blood. So, today I turned them loose in the horse pasture till they get big enough to eat. If the fox doesn't eat them first.
