wow, i never knew. do they have a house or just free ranging? you know, none of mine fight. i have a lot, maybe thats why, too confusing for them?

My chicken house is 1/2 of a horse barn. They have plenty of cover. They are already roosting in the barn rafters. Pooping on my horses.

When my young roosters start crowing, they get butchered. If they are still small, I skin them and only use the breast, thighsand legs. The rest of the bird goes in the 'chicken's' crock pot for food for the layers. Free protein!

i dont think mine has muscle yet. LOL i have only ate one of my chickens a roo, and it was tough. i didnt like it. first butcher too. didnt know about lungs, probably ate them
