The farm lady up the road raises Spanish goats, lots of them. I called her, and she's supposed to come check on me this evening. I got the milk powder that she recommended, and she said start with dollar store baby bottles then move them to the bucket.

I just don't know what they need. Human babies I understand. I've bottle-fed puppies and kittens. I can syringe feed chickens. But these goats are uncharted waters.

I also, would not put them on hay full time. At least not until I was making sure they were getting plenty of milk.

We don't bed ours on anything. If there is hay in there for them to use to bed on, they will poop on it it will peon it, then they will eat it.

That is one way, did they get parasites, or worms. You don't want that.

This is just like starting in chickens because all the info varies wildly. The stuff I read a month ago said their goats won't eat anything from the ground, regardless of what a nice treat it was. :/

If they are not willingly nursing, then the previous owner probably yanked them off of the Mama goat and took them to the sale......

I would let them eat very good quality GRASS hay. NOT alfalfa hay. A quality goat chow with some Manna Pro would also be good for them.

If you read and of the goat threads, they feed their baby goats whole milk right out of the grocery store nowadays.

Trying to force feed a bottle to them will be very stressful for them.
