Silkiebators Rule

I've got 2 one year old Silkies that stink at it. They've got some learning to do, but my other 2 are machines. Especially my little Silkie that's the photo for the photo caption contest right now. She rocks for hatching & mothering. My other gal rocks at hatch, but had issues with her wanting to take Fiona's chicks last hatch, but they both hatched within days. This time there hatches won't even be close.

I opened the bator for a hot second to add a little water and turn an egg that had gotten rolled pip down. My brooder isn't ready. :/ I'll be driving to TSC first thing in the morning.

Oh no, what are you needing for it?

It's in the 30s tonight and my brooder is outside. I have other lamps but I'm out of heat bulbs. I've never left rowdy chicks in the bator and I'm nervous.

Also need goat collars because I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT tote them home another night. My arms aren't long enough.

Plus I'm out of sav-a-chick, low on layer, etc. etc.

You don't understand! I'm a MEDDLER. so I opened the bator yesterday at 5:30 am to candle and NOT AGAIN until this morning at 6 am to candle again. The pipped egg I turned has a bit of blood and it's KILLING ME to leave it set. But I don't want to mess up the other one. So I'm quilting.

hi Danna, I have a a thomas Kincaid throw of a light house plus some statues. Used to have a 4ft. one outside . the wind tore it up.

Wow & you've had a great hatch so far even with all the meddling. That's wonderful, fingers crossed on the last 2

i have to lay down..granny my neck has been killing me ..been on the heating pad and muscle relaxers..hasn't helped any...good night all i sure enjoyed the hatches..
