Enola I think trying the quail in the basement is a GREAT idea and a good temporary "fix" for your chicken withdrawl symptoms. AN dif the odor gets to bad you can always put a small fan in the basement window and blow it out or install a "fart fan" (bathroom fan) over the cage.

Jane, that site only sells tolbunt far as I can tell. they added 2 gold laced to their flock though. Not sure why they would do that. its no longer tolbunt . But, If GL mixed with my tolbunt would work I can do that way easier and cheeper then buying more tolbunt. I need to check into that. Thank you fot the # I will give them a call.

Five for sure. One is black with pink toes, so I'll watch it. DD of course has adopted the obvious cull. So we'll let it grow a while I guess.
