it's a little difficult to teach against what they are breed for .

I know it is . I trained star to help me round up the chickens and guineas at dusk and she did a great job til one became defiant and she taught it a lesson. Taught me one too. LOL

This eggs that have hatched were they the lighter colored eggs that you could see into or the dark shelled ones that you have no idea about ??

umm, lighter brown and all black chicks except fot one. Not one white or green one has hatched. I know the white ones were good at lock down. those are easy to see.

yes, My dogs will only chase a cat if it runs. they really dont know what to do with one that dont. LOL My cats know this. The chicken did the same thing. she was herding fine but this one was refusing to go and took off around the house. I went and she had it cornered and was pulling feathers trying to bring it I thing.

I will be able to tell more when I eggtopsy them but today is just day 20 so there is time yet.

what I don't understand is why Beth inparticular would eat the kitties face first ?? To be honest it is big time gross/bizarre to find a dead cat fully intact until you get to a skeleton head
