someone is on their way to buy these 7 chicks. Im not selling the one that just hatched. I think its about the prettiest lil chick I have ever seen . red,brown,black and yellow ! already eating and drinking and extra fluffy . I hope the other one hatches so it has a buddy.

My dearest Tippy, I have been talking on and off today with a retired vet about your cat that pees the bed and on you. I know this comes at a bad time and I am sorry but with the welfare of the cat in mind this is what I have learned. If the cat has lost weight it would most likely be diabetes. the only way to treat cats with success is insulin shots daily or more depending on the severity of it. The other possibility is kidney failure. In that case the cat should be humanly euthanized. She states that the cat is in pain if it be kidney as they are bred to hide their illness as someone else has stated here as well. If its diabetes he will eventually go into a coma and die. The diabetes effects the kidney so one could very well be going hand and hand with the other. I hope this helps you in some small way. I tried . All my love

Thank you so much Granny! She does have kidney failure and with the amount of water she drinks, I'm pretty sure she has diabetes also. I know she won't get better and I don't want to treat her at 16 years old. She is currently living the life of an old and dying cat. I know they hide pain well but she is participating in life. She can't wait to go out on the deck in the mornings and jumps on the bed which is about 3 ft high. I'm sure the peeing in the bed is because of the effort in getting down and then back on the bed again. When she can't or doesn't want to do those things I will have her put down. I had all the bloodwork done on her about a year ago and the vet diagnosed kidney problems then. I have known this would be how it would progress. I just didn't know she would fight this long. Callie has been a wonderful companion to me and has gotten the best vet care, but her time is short. I'm bad because I wish she would just give up. But until then it's my turn to sacrifice.

Who ever was going to buy Cuckoo Marans for dark eggs, unless you get them from a dedicated breeder that has really worked on egg color, they will not lay dark eggs. I had some hens thst were two generations away from hatchery chicks. They laid eggs that were not a bit darker than my BR and RIR hens.

I had mentioned getting one from the feed store, but I was wondering about the darkness of the eggs. Thanks for the info!

Bad news for is is all that water is headed this way. The river is expected to crest at 21 feet, its highest level since 2004. It's currently 4.8 feet deep.

Maybe we can swi to eavh other!!! Oly is flooding.
