I am more then curious, I am fascinated. LOL I wanna go !
I went to China in 1996. It was interesting to see, but hard traveling. I think it is much better/easier now that the government has opened things up for both businesses and tourists. Many western style hotels now, and toilets! Chinese toilet is more like a hole in the floor. (google it!)
This city (Guangzhou), at the top of the Pearl River delta, was mostly built since I was in China 20 yrs ago. Panyu is the big business district. Not much tourism here.
Still lots of building going on. See the cranes?
Visit to a fancy tea shop. They make special blends and offer tastings.
Typical "factory" on the outskirts of the city.
Driving is not for the faint of heart.
View from hotel.
Restaurant on middle floor. Showing hubs around at a fish farm.
So many cars now! 30 yrs ago would all have been bicycles and mopeds. Pollution is a huge problem in some parts of China.
By the bus depot. I spy 2 major American companies! See them!
Forgot to say this is in southern China, very tropical and hot in the summer. It's about 1½ hrs north of Hong Kong by ferry.
