Live in suburbia only allowed 6 chickens and no roosters.Council don't check unless someone complains.Neighbour over back fence a bit grumpy.Might be tempted to slip in 1 or 2 more if he wasn't there!Thanks for the welcome and you did spell my name right. Penny

ohh, I spelled it wrong. lol I edited it. Thats what i need about 6 hens but chicken math. How do you handle it ?

Penny if they are all alike you can have as many as you want as long as you don't let out more than 6 at one time.

I had friends who showed small dogs (maltese). They were allowed 3 dogs in their apartment. All of them looked alike. They said their neighbors just thought the dogs peed a lot because they only walked 3 at a time. No one ever found out about the other 12. Lol

Would love more but live on just 1/4 acre.Chickens freerange a section of backyard fenced from vegie garden.7 or 8 is probably about limit for area.Don't have a white egg layer in my little flock.Maybe a Dorking next season..... Grumpy neighbour at back has a large bathroom window overlooking our back garden.Have seen him standing there just looking out. Am growing fruit trees to screen him out.Also creepers over coop run when we get it built.So we''ll see.

Somebody must have hacked me. I didn't post 99 posts yesterday. I don't think....... did I ? ......... I got up at 2:45am to go to work...... went to the laundromat on the way home so I wouldn't have to go to work naked today....... Ate a bologna sandwich because I was too sleepy, afraid I would burn the house down...... was back in bed by 6pm to do it all over again......

Simply don't think it was me doing all that posting.

mornin granny..i keep my close neighbors happy with eggs now they are saving me cukes and squash for the hens..win win...keep them happy they don't complain
