 A cougar ! WOW !!!  that can carry kids off never mind the chickens.  scary stuff there.  seen one here once but they shot it.    I am glad you are caught up. I must have the most unused life. all I do is sit and talk/write. 

I can imagine a coon in the pot ! LOL just the picture in my head . cook it like a lobster. they throw them things in while they are still alive.  They scream too.

You can do a raised bed garden. Everything off the ground. Just reach out. Same way as on the ground for everything else.

All is going as planned so far.  Just got back from town. boy is it hot out !!   I seen a couple trees fighting over a dog.    All thats left is locking up the barn and a shower. I smell a little past due.   I dont have food and not very much money so i was trying to play nice at cvs. I got 2 gallons of milk, a small bag of chips and drooled over the chocolate. when I paid she handed me the receipt with $2. bucks reward  So I got an 8 pack of reesses .

We have bobcats around here. Bears. Coons. Possums. Fox. Coyote. Something that looks like a weasel. I have seen them all myself. I am overrun by chipmunks. Little buggers come right up to the back door and blow raspberries at me.

Yep people do, my grandma did when her and my grandpa were first married. Didn't have a pot to pee in nor a window to toss it out. They used skunk oil in a dish with a wick for light. Never did have the sense to ask her how they got all the skunk oil to burn. Sure miss that lady.

We have the same critters here as well newfie. One summer between the neighbor and I we killed 83 red squirrel. Funny thing is I had a tally sheet made up hanging in the inside of my cupboard to keep track.
