Spazz, my great most beautiful gay rooster is gone. i put him down. he was too regal of a creature to be left laying on his side in his own excrement. i have babied him from day one knowing he wasnt quite rooster material but i loved him any way. with his bubbly eyes and stripped feather down to nothing he was still the most awesome rooster i ever had. i would like to give a tribute to Spazz, the source of some of my humor, the hopes of my flock being the best , and the sheer joy of watching his crazy antics. he will be sorely missed.

my sister who is visiting found her, she thinks she was there at least a half hr. we are at different ends of the house and i sleep heavy. took 3 of us to get her up. she has a queen bed temperpedic adjustable with wooden frame around it. it is brand new so i would hate to drill holes. any ideas or tips would be awesome. thanks

Prevention wise - one side against a wall (if not already) and then look at clamp on or wedge between mattress/box springs type rail systems or sliding a board between the mattress and box spring (or elsewhere) that can be used to mount any drill/screw in/on rails.
Issue of not hearing her - baby monitor.

Great advice.

Does she try to get out of the bed with out assistance and fall? Or does she just roll out of the bed? The reason I ask, my brother refused to ask for help until he was so weak he had to accept us helping. He would fall trying to get out of bed to go to the bathroom.

Someone literally had to be by his side 24/7 for the last 2 weeks of his life.......

I wish I was there to hug you instead of these crazy icons. You really took good care of him Granny. He had a wonderful life with you and you did him a world of good. I am so so sorry.

And I am really sorry about your mom! Is she ok? They make bed guards to keep from rolling out. And if you have home health care coming to the house, they can sometimes bring one for her from the hospital. Oh, I hope she is ok. Keep us posted on her.

Well, when it rains it pours. I am sorry you are having such a hard time these days Granny. Just know that we all love and care about you.
