you guys know i adopted/inherited 3 guineas a couple days ago, well, last night i was getting ready for bed and my front door was open, i went to lock it and this huge mountain man was walking up the ramp.EXCUSE ME he said and i bout peed myself. i thought i was about to die ! lol he was very dirty ,hairy , a bit scary looking. said"i lost my birds and i seed em in yer tree. " so i said , "YUP, shore nuff, they back there. go git em. " hahahahah i wasnt about to argue. he went back and looked in on the guineas in my coop and said , " you dont know how good that makes my heart feel to see them all together, would it be alright if i just leave them here for a bit? they seem so happy". i swear i seen a tear in his eye. i told him it would be fine, and i would try to get his into my coop so we could catch them all . one stays out and 2 go in. he even offered to bring some feed. i told him no. they had plenty of bugs here. classic example of not judging a book by its cover.
definitely country here. i have a couple neighbors but i cant walk to their house. too far for me. a young person wouldnt have a problem though. no, not a helper for me.
someone did come and offer to mow for me though, never seen such a nice bunch of people that live here.
well, the nurse, aid, pharmacy, family, and neighbor has been here. my neighbors white guinea has been killed at the road. i think the pharmacy did it. all the kings daughters and all the kings men, couldnt put humpty together again. (sigh) hope he knows his from mine. i did.
just wanted to pop in and say hi, HI !!! my guineas are laying now. if any babies come in i am taking them to my neighbor. i have already warned him. haha no more for me for a while. they are his males that came here so he has to take responsibility right? i guess i could sue him for some child support. hahahah this aint gonna be no 50/50 thing he better take them all. could you just see me taking him to court? but your honer, he didnt provide protection for his males before he let them loose on my property. totally his fault.
had to put a baby down today. never seen feet like hers before, both legs crossed each other and one foot turned in. poor thing, it was about a month and half old. i had noticed a small limp before but i thought it was from an injury/fall. it was an x shape. not much time to do anything and when i do i am pretty tired myself. mom is not doing very well but she does have some good days . just not the last couple of days. nurse said no more walking but if the woman decides she wants to walk then thats what we are gonna do.
