Conact solution would probably work. I am not sure though. Maybe you should post pictures on the emergency thread.

I don't have any experience in treating any thing but coccidia, bumble foot and a stopped up crop which required surgery.

enola, I actually started this thread in the emergency section because it was at the time. it slowly escalated into what you see now. that, and it seems to me like every thing I do ends up being an emergency. I did ask if it should be moved and was told it was fine.

But starting a new thread with a different title may get more attention. Once threads in the emergency section get really long people stop checking it out. They figure the thread has actually turned into a social thread...........

I found 2 possibles, and links from eggsessive as well. That woman got the hook up ! lol the comb can be just because of the dry pox or something called favus . I think that was the correct spelling. it is yeast. fungal infection. but since you know they have the pox, its probably just part of it.

I agree 100 % I do it myself.

At least with the pox it will run its course and be done. No carriers or repeatedly getting sick. Better pox then Respitatory disease.

oh boy, wouldnt that be nice. lol is it like pox in humans as far as once they have it they have an immunity ? well, i guess it would be if your saying it wont come back.

I don't generally have good luck with getting answers in the emergencies thread. When Hen #2 stopped eating/drinking/pooping I made a new thread and got one person encouraging me, but no help. So I just did my best and she pulled through. I find I've had better luck getting advice from the "mini" communities like here, and over on the Louisiana thread. It's not really an emergency, mostly just whining. ;)

Yes, from what I have read and it's been awhile so somebody correct me if I'm wrong. There is different strains of pox they can get but they won't get the one they had again. If this is pox, I think it's a good idea to start a new thread with good pictures.
