I have safeguard 0.5% alfalfa based pellets. Can I even use that for chickens? When I send the DH to get chicken meds, he always comes back with something totally random. :/Have they been wormed with Safeguard or Valbazen? If not, you could try that.
- Safeguard liquid or paste dose to treat roundworms, cecal worms, gapeworms, capillary worms and possibly some species of tapeworms is 0.23ml per pound orally for *five* consecutive days.
- Valbazen dose to treat roundworms, cecal worms, capillary worms and possibly some species of tapeworms is 0.08ml per pound once and repeat in ten days.
What does their poop look like?
-Kathy
I've been on vacation and haven't seen their poop. It's chilly today, so I was going to put them in the "hospital" coop on the porch, under a heat lamp, until I can see what's going on. I'll watch for poop then. They don't feel more underweight than usual (always have been on the scrawny side).
