Have they been wormed with Safeguard or Valbazen? If not, you could try that.

  • Safeguard liquid or paste dose to treat roundworms, cecal worms, gapeworms, capillary worms and possibly some species of tapeworms is 0.23ml per pound orally for *five* consecutive days.

  • Valbazen dose to treat roundworms, cecal worms, capillary worms and possibly some species of tapeworms is 0.08ml per pound once and repeat in ten days.

What does their poop look like?

I have safeguard 0.5% alfalfa based pellets. Can I even use that for chickens? When I send the DH to get chicken meds, he always comes back with something totally random. :/

I've been on vacation and haven't seen their poop. It's chilly today, so I was going to put them in the "hospital" coop on the porch, under a heat lamp, until I can see what's going on. I'll watch for poop then. They don't feel more underweight than usual (always have been on the scrawny side).

I just seen the eye in your second video. ya, they need the tylan. of course it was a bad idea for me to suggest a bath. probably give them a bad chill .

To me it looks like her equilibrium is off, like maybe an ear infection, which could be likely given the sinus infection.

Ok, that makes sense. What are the odds of that happening in two hens at the same time? I have tylan 50 I can give them orally. I can't remember if they were in the last round of mites/lice spray, but I can spray them again. I use a pyrethrin spray, but should I get the dust since it's chilly? In the 50s and damp today.

wish it was in the 50s here. I would go skinny dipping !!! I dont know about the spray vs dust. cant you look and see if they have them?

Hospital coop is a very good idea. In addition to the eye/sinus infection, they look like they are molting. I know mine usually act differently during a hard molt. They lose their status in the flock and will get picked on by the others. Maybe the low walking is out of fear or submission? A little supplemental protein will help grow feathers back.

Yes! I did notice the molting, I just get so scatterbrained when I'm trying to think. I have some canned salmon I've been saving for their molt.

Ok, so hospital coop, tylan, and protein boost is my current plan.

I seen that too wishing, but i thought it was from being pooped on. You know, I see feathers in the coop but i never see my chickens looking like a molt. the most i have seen is the back from a rooster.
