I have both of those and dont like either one. campingshaw, I dont think those are designed to lay flat. only vertical impression i am getting any way and Enola, with so much humidity especially at lock down, are those batteries going to hold up? the one that is built in to the bator , I have it set on. 99.7 it is reading 99.3 and that it is chick ready. not what i asked it to do at all. best sure fire method ? chicks hatch on time and leave it there. LOL I give up on all those thermometers !

oh and the meat thermometer ? it has a nut on the end of it you are supposed to turn after the ice water test. I could not make it budge so I figured in the difference from what it was reading 3 off and take 3 away when i read it. the only nut turning anything was me.

soo, I take it the eggs are not in yet ? try it like mine set it to 99.7 and see if it says chick ready at 99.3 mine never showed any higher on that one but showed 100 on the other 2 and they hatched on day 20. 5 of them now.

that piece of plastic is supposed to be sitting on top of the eggs too. I used a fake one because all of mine were cold.

I don't think we have the same kind, because I can't "set" anything. And I'm not sure what piece of plastic?

didnt you get the digital one ? its the latest and has push buttons instead of a dial and they were the same price. the plastic was on a probe in the bator that you lay on the eggs to check your temp. got mine fromTSC . computer acting up again. hope you get it all right

Not the latest, then. This was under the tree, probably from the little feed store in town (price was written on the box). Ok, plastic, yes. It is on top of the eggs.

Its called a brides supper I guess cuz most new brides don't cook so good LOL NO gravy. Good Morning all Still have butcher roosters in the chick room so have to get a nice day and clean the rooms and butcher the roos. Tried the dark Cornish as a meat bird NOT impressed very very slow growing will let you all know about taste latter. Below zero this morning burrrrrrrr. Pups are working on 4th breakfasts.

somehow that makes me feel young. I do believe thats a complement. LOL I bet it is a joy to watch the pups, sit there half the day and let the chores go. hahaa any idea what i could/should do with some bantam roos ? fist size just trying to crow.
