one of the hens sits in my hand like a bird would sit a nest. I think about the size of quail. I dont know if i am explaining that right. as far as size goes, if you see babys in a nest and what is left over that is how she looks in my hand . thats still not right. haha i will weigh her tomorrow.

OMG that is small for 2 month olds. I have never seen Seramas before so I can't even imagine that. They sound like they have beautiful coloring. So eggcited for you granny.

there are size category not sure how it goes but micro, mini, A, B,C . something like that. the two i have already the hen is size A and not sure on the roo yet.

she makes 4 of the little one. Im sure she is not done growing yet though

they need a heat source in the winter. at least 40 degrees. I am keeping mine warmer then that

I have a large & a small coop. Currently I am using the small Coop as the brooder for my hatching chicks. I have a Ecoglow warming unit in the brooder box & a heat bulb to warm the coop air. So heating a coop is not the problem.

I think all told through the property i have 7 heat bulbs going . I vaguely remember saying i wasnt doing babies this winter because it was so hard last winter. Then I thought someone else would be doing it because of my surgery . HA ! here i am again. running from coop to coop and in the house. I love it.

Me too granny, my Christmas hatch-a-long are almost 2 weeks old, I just love going into their nice warm coop and watch them play. I have a little blonde runt that I caught chest bumping today. It's been a spitfire since it hatched. I have 4 in the incubator right now, 3 have hatched today and 1 is in early zip mode. Lots of cheeping in the house tonight.

They sound beautiful! Still have quite a bit of growing to do at that age and it's the best time to get them used to being held. Temperament is part of the breed, they should be really easy to tame and unafraid of people which is what makes them such great pets.

I can't wait to see pictures! Too bad you ate all of Twist's goodies. Could have used some to bribe your friend to add more photos for you!

I wouldnt of give a bite of that candy up ! not even for the bird itself. Of course now, that crap i made.... wishing i like yr avatar. pretty soft looking color. these guys are tame already, one is a little fidgety when held but the other 2 enjoy it. hahaa good deal. chickenlady, the one you speak of must be a roo. do you know how many chickens you have all together?
