Agreed...My daughter's neighbor took a puppy to the vet and was prescribed Ivermectin for mites. The vet sent home a prefilled syringe to give to the puppy. The vet tech who prepared the syringe, drew up the wrong amount. Needless to say, the puppy became very sick and the neighbor took the puppy to my daughter and asked her if she knew what might be wrong. She told them to take the puppy back to the vet. The vet soon discovered that the puppy had been given the wrong dose. After a few days of intense care, the puppy pulled through. The neighbor had given the Ivermectin, not even knowing what it was or what the puppy was being treated for. They had told my daughter that they had given the puppy some medicine, but didn't know what it was. I'm a stickler for checking the correct dose of any medication that I give my pets and possible side effects.

I'm old I could tell you stories. You have to be cautious. If the Doc is short with you you need to find another doc real fast. Had a PA yell at me once. "Are you seeing another doctor?" Well I was after that and I did!

The Doc sent me a letter saying and I quote " I do think you have cancer". Wanted to do a bio. Well I saw not one but two other doctors and guess what they told me?

I asked why would he want to do a bio if I don't need one? Ans. " He has to pay for his boat " or some such thing. Needless to say I'm still here and don't have cancer.

Now the women where my wife goes are so nice to me and answer my questions. I would have no trouble seeing them. When you're a care giver you have to know some things. I think they understand that.

I understand . there has been so much illness around me and i have to know every thing about what happens to be the problem at the time. My surgeon asking me what type of medical training i have had.

not sure if i told you guys I am getting a new bator but if i did i am telling it again !!! It is going to have a turner, duel heat thingys so it wont over heat and circulated air ! I am a little excited. hahaa member Jessshan8 is making it for me and is about half way done with it.

How exciting granny girl, that is wonderful! I sure hope with the new incubator you will be able to hatch those Seramas you want. My Seramas (actually silkies I'm trying to hatch) is not going so well. I have 2 chicks out (Yay), lost 3 yesterday because they pipped the side of the egg couldn't breath So once you get that new toy figured out, I may need you to hatch me some chicks, lol.

Hello to all: Prayers for those in need, congrats to all the good stuff. Granny didn't you know that children and grandchildren are all energy vampires they suck out your energy and strength so that they can run around like crack addicts. Uffda one would not think that 5 pups could make such a mess/stink. They are 6 weeks on sunday and vet for shots and health check on Monday. Hopefully with 3 gone by next sunday. Had one decide to go on a walkabout this morning. Might have to go to puppy-com stage 3. Finally they are all sleeping. Just like kids so darling and sweet when asleep. Got 51 eggs yesterday. beats the heck out of last summer when I got a grand total of 1 egg on 1 day. So when cleaning the puppy pen they all go in a laundry basket (tight fit) toys come out blanket shaken out in pen. If to filthy into washer it goes, newspaper all rolled up then scrapper to get the piles not on the paper, then sweep the pen. scrub the floor with either mom & glow or liquid Lysol fresh paper put down. bed remade toys and pups returned. five minutes latter piles and puddles everywhere paper turned into confettie shake my head and light a scented candle and close my eyes. LOL 3 months of old newspapers in 1 1/2 weeks. have friend also saving their papers for me. At least one of the pups likes to read in bed and hauls papers of any size into the bed area and then sibling come over the play tug with the paper. they get quit indiginate when the paper tears and they go over backwards. Momma is starting to finally dry up but still a walking stomach. 2 to 6 raw eggs a day plus a can of wet dog food and all the dry she can eat. First crack at any table scraps. Forgot that on Monday the 3 adult dogs in the house also go in for their shots. Thinking vet is gonna run around $500.00 or so. Gotta run for now TTFN and warm fuzzies all.
