I did. I stapled cardboard to the side of the house, it goes all the way to the ground. Anyway, the pipes are thawed this morning.....Well we need to pray you get better digs.
At least if the pipes burst they'll be his problem.
My DD and hers just moved in. They had a crap landlord too. Lets hope the new one is better.Course their new place comes with built in Grampa and Gramma.

If you have some snow I'd pile it up over the cardboard. Here in NY we have renters rights. I would still put some "Stuff" in the space where the sheathing doesn't meet the house or at least some newspaper or other insulation.
He has already had to fix the pipes once this year. I told him some heat tape would solve this problem. He answered, so would running the water!
Here is the clencher...... He runs the gray water from the house out on to the "garden plot". The neighbor also has told me that ALL of the remodeling he did on the house was done without a building permit. No wonder if I don't turn off one of the heaters before I use the microwave the whole house shuts down.
