That cracks me up ! did she lay in there ? LOL breakfast in the making . they were just cutting out the middle man.

thanks rancher, every time i try air comes out my eye or ear. LOL nothing there holding it back. I used to adore readers digest but they have changed a lot. they became very skinny with half of that being ads. I pick mine up at the junk stores from the 70s-90s better quality for sure.

Yes, RD is not at all what it used to be. I grew up reading them as my great-grandparents had a massive collection of them in the "guest room" in the basement - LOVED them then. Picked one up the other day at the dentist's office and it was awful.

Yes she did! It was a very large oblong egg.

Thats a regular sussex egg, the oblong pullet egg, and a wind egg. All from yesterday. The weather had them crazy. The ones in the tray are from the week, not just yesterday.

I was thinking about shipping you some when the weather gets warm.

I've never shipped before, so it will be good practice. And then maybe my squirrelly pullets will be laying normally. Yesterday they were like this:

Eloise thought it was a good place for her egg, but Evelyn had a feeling they were giving me the wrong idea.

Evelyn is like, "What are you doing? Get out of here!"

Since I know you have SS now, I'll pick your brain - are you happy with them? My daughter and I are in love with the look of them, and she is campaigning pretty hard for a few to be added to the flock (so she can look at them when she comes home from college to visit I guess??). The husband is being absolutely ridiculous and trying to impose some limits on my additions this year, so I am having to be fairly selective about what I choose (though I am thinking I can justify the SS without giving on any of the other planned additions if I "trade" them by selling our Brahma hens to make room - that's way I'm not actually "adding" anything, right?)

Morning all. Very pretty birds there camp.

Enola Iris's do very well up here also daylilies . LOL couldn't resist a transfer answer to you from your North Dakota post.

Beth got me up at 6:30 having a screaming/howling fit wanted out of cage. The little escape artist did get out then proceeded to piddle right in front of the cage. So someone started out the day with a spanking. And NOW she decides to sleep. Little more work in the room before carpet installers get here tomorrow. Gonna try to order chicks today for May 1 delivery Plan is to keep the total number under 50. LOL will let you all know how the chicken math comes out.

morning ol mare. trading is not the same as adding but you have to wait til they hatch or its not a fair trade then , its not your fault if the bramas dont sell.

morning twist, day lillys are my favorite . soo many colors. the original orange ones grow wild all around me. they mow them down. Pisses me off. the road workers i meant. easy way to break a dog ? show her how its done. where its done. first get a dog, take it for a walk before you ever bring it in the house if possible, take a whiz outside and let her see. have a treat or words of praise ready. I dont know about where you live. Might need to carry a pic ax with you.

I tried to give my swedish roo a hen yesterday. I started with the candy corn polish because of color and she was a shrimp next to him so i took her back out and gave him a buff orph. I bet he would make pretty babies with the sussex. he is very laid back though. he comes and begs me to pet him and dont try very hard to mate.
