Underneath that white hen. She's a production breed (amber link maybe?) and one of my good layers. She's been walking around the yard and clucking for two days. Guess she's also feeling motherly.

Yes!! I agree completely. As a kid, we had a little barred rock mix with a crest that looked like those. So cute. She was a favorite, very friendly. Merry Chicken was her name.

Sure wish I had a picture of her, but we would have gotten in trouble for wasting film taking pictures of chickens.

Digital cameras are soooo wonderful!

My cream legbar is going to be one of the ones without the hairdo, I think. I don't think the breeder I used has the ones with the hairdos. Sad because they are so cute!! She's a sweet little thing. Tiny compared to everyone else but she holds her own.

@chitlins, He is Pretty !!   chicken not too bad either      LOL     camping, did you worm them? maybe that one didnt get any ?  sometimes they just grow different but play catch-up.
