I just noticed my post was changed from emerg. to random rambling .. wonder how long its been like that? It started off as an emergency . LOL I remember talking to someone LONG time ago about moving it.. well, thanks to whoever did it. I felt bad when people expected me to know something. hahaa
wow, can you swim ? lol kidding. we got 7 in one day and it hasnt stopped yet. I am lucky i live on top of a hill. a lot of people around here werent so lucky and lost everything. our buy, sale, trade group pitched right in to help with clean-up and donations. You guys get the mud slides right ? I have seen video of some bad ones.
Sure do. Haven't had any affect us really but I don't doubt there's been some sliding going on.
So my coop is a disaster zone. Well, good thing I didn't clean it like I meant to this weekend...we'll have to see how much of my DE and shavings are salvageable. (The bag the shavings in were sitting in water...the de bottom of the bag may have gotten a bit damp too)
So tomorrow I have to work till 12:45. Then it's get groceries and head home to do some major cleanup.
Ol Grey Mare, best wishes for your daughter. Hope it's not too bad, but I would be like you, totally obsessed about it until I could care for my child (still a child at 19 in my book!) myself. Hope you get her home quick.
Bicyclists are supposed to follow the rules of the road like a car. Only 4-5 year olds should be on the sidewalk! Twisted, there is a group of cyclists in San Francisco that are downright militant. Last Friday of every month, they gather en masse and purposefully clog up traffic in the city. Last year one of those bozos killed an elderly lady crossing in a crosswalk. He was way over the speed limit, going down hill, and slammed into her, just missing her husband of almost 50 yrs who held her while she died. Idiot never even apologized.
Prostar, that is some storm! Remnants of the hurricane from Baja. Hope some of that makes it up here. We are parched. Too bad it all came at once for you. Doesn't get a chance to soak in. You need a chicken ark. Got to keep those nuggets safe!
Dannachic, what's your secret for getting to 50 yrs of marriage? (Belated congratulations, by the way.) I guess part of it would be marrying early. I got hitched at 32, hubbs was 33, first and only marriage for both of us, but I will be 82 (hopefully) when we make it 50 yrs (hopefully). I was 19 when we met, too. Takes us a longtime to make decisions!
Hi Min! Have you decided on the breeds you want? Are the restrictions still in place?
Granny, both my boys are September babies. Going to be 17 and 14 pretty soon. Just bought an old car for our new driver to practice with and eventually drive on his own. It's got a ton of miles, but is smaller than my car, so it's more manageable. We're not going to insure the car, just pay for liability on a male teen driver, which will probably be more expensive than hubbs and me combined! Sending healing thoughts to you across the country. And you're not talking to yourself on here. I come and check in, but don't always post. I will try to do better so you won't feel alone.
Granny bikes are to be on the road, wrenched my back trying not to fall over the idiot kid and his bike. I say kid but late teens early 20 's no brakes or at least not ones he could use as was busy sucking on a gallon jug of soda. The street is one of the main ones down town with business doors every 20 to 30 fee or so. And lots of elderly shoppers like even older then you granny.
Sweet Dreams all and warm fuzzies or cold ones if you in a heat wave.
maybe we should start building an ark..been the same way here and lots have lost their homes a few lost their lives too..we have had bad slides road was blocked for two days till they finally had to blast the boulders..
