Lisa, we got 7 inches of rain at one time . the soy and corn looked pretty weak. It has perked up some but it set it back .

Blue hen is half orpington, half speckled sussex. She needs a name. She has a solid black sister (half australorp) that I named Marie Laveau, after the famous voodoo queen.

That's Marie on the left. Unnamed blue on the right.

I have no idea of the amount of rain we got, but it was a bunch. Oh and forgot the hail part. Makes me so sad that so many fruit crops are damaged. Lost enough with a late spring heavy frost, now this. Its so tough to be a grower or farmer when Mother Nature is always playing dirty tricks.

One of my sisters in Tampa said that city is about closed down from the rain. I had forgot how bad MI. got it too..

It truly was a huge change coming to live here, although mostly good things. After all this time I feel pretty much like I belong now, although I still get lots of people every day remarking on my accent which hasn't changed at all in all this time for some reason. @ChickenLady2014 we had the most crazy wild storms yesterday and all through the night and fully expected to lose power at the least but to our surprise we stayed connected!....and my garden was virtually untouched

I love the accent !!! I have a problem with people that have different accents. I pick them up in 5 min. flat. haha I dont do it on purpose. It just happens. I could talk with you then talk to someone else and they would swear I was from where you came from.
