Have been pondering what to say on this momentous occasion.    I would like to thank my parents for making this evening possible and my animals for making is necessary   (victor borge)

I honestly would like to thank you all for    1)  being there when I needed to blow off steam      2) for both rejoicing in the good things and commiseration with me in the bad times.    3) for not turning me in when I "swan dive" in to the gutter

basically  for you all being you      and being  my lovely coop of hens and pullets.

Was going to wait until I got thru all the posts before I commented, but I couldn't wait after reading your post enola. I have hauled so much stuff in my 98 Toyota Corolla, in fact we just hauled 6 hens to Manton in the back seat last Saturday. Last spring before my compost got going good I went to my BIL house and picked up a load of cow manure in a large tote & brought it home in the trunk of my car. It is my truck. Went to TSC Monday & picked up 4-50# bags of All Flock Raiser & 3 bales of shavings. Threw it all in the trunk & back seat. I guess if my car was newer I might not do that, but I've got to work with what I have.

When I came to SC I was driving a Ford Escort. I was in the driver'sseat, naturally..... In the floor board on passenger side was a small suitcase, on top of that suitcase was an aquarium with my pet frog. Another suitcase was in the seat. In the back seat was a dog carrier with 2 cats, another suitcase with my saddles on top of that. In the hatch in the back was two Australian Shepherds and a pile of saddle blankets and bedding and pillows for my bed.

It was a car full!

I have hauled home paneling on top of a 71 Olds Cutlass Supreme. Took the trunk off and hauled hay (you can get more in).
Manure in garbage bags from my SIL who had my pony.

It was my mom's car. She just gave up.

Had a friend who went 4 wheeling for firewood one fall and winter....In a Gremlin. Lol

You should see some of the crap I drove and what I hauled.

GS is 10 son will be 22 sunday. swap is tomorrow .  im really excited about it.

My son will be 32 on Sunday!

Has anyone heard from Grannie? She has to be wiped out after such a busy day. I'm sure hurting as well, but glad to hear that she sold out of birds. That will be a real relief for her this winter.

Yep that sounds like a boy

My son used to play with my daughters with their baby dolls. He was really tender with them. So, they would pretend like some of the babies wouldn't go to sleep and send them outside with him to put them asleep by giving them a wagon ride. But, that all came to an end when his legs got long enough to run. When the babies started bouncing out of the wagon because of the ruts in the road, the girls wouldn't let him give any more wagon rides.
