Lol a jealous hen. His hen pouts with him. It takes him a lot of crickets and grass hoppers before she gives in to him lol. Poor fellow catchers everyday. I've seen him looking straight in front of him and she'd be beside him and ever once in a while give him a little peck on his jaw. He'd get tired of it after several times and stand up over her like he was going to slap her. She'd peck him again and he'd just look at me like he was saying (please make her stop) lolAw, true love. Donut liked the other girls just fine, but coffee was very jealous. If he mated another hen, Coffee would race over and go after the hen. I even watched her knock him off of another hen! She was a little loopy. I warned the buyer about her, but he said he wasn't going to breed, he just liked small chickens.
Part of the breed standard is for them to have docile behavior. Coffee would peck hands too. Not a good trait to keep breeding.
That's so cute! Makes me want a Serama and a bad hair chicken. May I ask what's a micro serama and what's an LF? I just have plain chickens.thats a micro serama next to a LF chick hatched the same day.
Wish you did.granny, did that microchick survive?

LOL! So they're lil mini chickens? I just looked them up. Sure are beautiful. My son saw them at a poultry show and that's how it started. Thought he could join 4H and have a fun project. 4H didn't last, but we still have Seramas! They don't do well in the cold weather, though. Need heat for temps much below 40. Not too bad here as we only have a week or two below freezing most winters.
ok, LF is large fowl the bigger breeds . seramas come based on their size and they are measured as micro, A,B,and C being the largest.
