Evening all, spent they day with hubby winterizing. First snow today, very cold winds. My face is wind burned

Thought about you today watching the weather channel. Get on in that toasty house! So many fond memories of St Ignace and Mackinaw. Pictures please?

Thank Mutt, I don't get up to the bridge very often anymore. It is very beautiful & I love the Upper Peninsula, but having a large garden, farm stand & the chickens doesn't allow us much time away anymore.

When we moved in to this house I had a new born and a 3 yr old. There was a huge free standing wood stove that was way to big and hot for the room and definitely not kid friendly. Hubs put the insert in and cut the metal back piece to cover the gap in the fireplace opening. I feel more secure with the fire. We didn't have gas growing up and I still don't trust it. When we lived in Pacifica (south of San Francisco) there was a massive gas explosion down the road that burnt up a whole neighborhood and killed people. We have gas in this house, but I'm a little paranoid.

i actually didnt eat. Tom had 3 bowls and DS had 2 . i tasted it . it was good. enough for tomorrow. LOL I am glad you used the word grandma instead of granny. LOL

She's off of here right now. I'm sending here to work again tomorrow lol. God I hope she don't read this. She has a boy10, and a girl 12. And I have a 19 year old son. We claim them all as our own. Why you need three more? Well take two silkies for all three :Lau.

King huh? My Grandma Kellogg taught 40 years in Livingston Co, just east of Lansing. My great Aunt was married to a Kernie King. I'm from Howell, we have an old Kellogg family cemetery I played in as a kid. When you get snowed in, have a look at Livingston Co Mi. Some sordid KKK history not connected to the Kelloggs though. Most of my fam is in Cohocta and Howell. Farmers. Corn and dairy.
