Jane, Im afraid I dont know the abbreviations for chicken . and where is the picture ? I am back to getting a doz a day. good thing as DD is keeping them ate . 

The ones i posted a few days back of some ofy 48 chickens. They were crosses of buff orphington and golden lacewing wyanndotte roos with bar rock hens to make black sexlink layers. The cockeriels 12 of them will be going to freezer camp to make chicken & dumplings for gs & dh.

I've learned a bit since then. I didn't know about framing... I pieced it like I would have a quilt and then put it all together.

got some black austrolops, rhode island reds, and barred rocks

black austrolop and rhode island red roos.......

this week, I think I will be getting some more barred rocks, and some buff orphingtons.

we will use them mainly for eggs, for us and to sell.......and then we may get into some selling of chickens and pullets, once I get all the coops and runs set up.

U can breed RIR roo X BR hens to make BSL layers.

U can breed RIR roo X BR hens to make BSL layers.

that is the plan.

plan to use the buff for their eggs and broodiness to hatch out.

then the pure bred roos and hens to hatch more of same breed to produce more BSL.

I need to be on the lookout for some white leghorns, or white rhode island reds to put ounder the RIR roosters too......

Granny i can barely keep up with reading the posts. I have my 2 grandchildten, 2 & 15 that keep me very busy along with gardens, chickens and a dh that works mostly out of town. That is why i took so long to reply. Am reposting pic of cockeriel.

Ok y'all I'm officially gone nuts. Broody stood just a little and I seen a shell. Omg what now? I want to see that baby so bad I can't stand it. I didn't see it. I hope she didn't eat it. Helppppp.!!!!!
