Low 70s here yesterday and today. We are supposed to get cold weather next week. And by that they mean highs of only 55! This is when I can put up with all the things that drive me crazy about living in CA. I'm not freezing.

Lots of chores to get done today. Both coops need cleaning, more laundry, clear out the garden beds, and help #2son gather materials for his science fair project. He is building tesla coils and measuring the size of the electric fields. At least we hope he is.
Hope everyone is having a nice day. See you later!

Good to hear from you enola! Prayers for Mike, hoping he feels better.

Mutt, I was in Target this afternoon, and a young woman was walking her Ridgeback  through the store, so of course I had to go pet her.  (the dog, not the girl)   What a sweet calm dog  :love , from a breeder in this county too.  My mind was flooded with memories of our wonderful dogs.  So, guess what's just been added to my bucket list!

Your opinion please, on male versus female dogs, general temperament wise, that would go better for a mature woman who is NOT  type A personality.  Is one sex a bit more relaxed than another?  I asked this question way back on this thread, but want to hear about your experiences.

I prefer female dogs, male dogs are harder headed, not as willing to please.

Good evening good evening all :hugs

I'm afraid I've fallen off the wagon again

I'm feeling pants and have a spin on :sick
Have had a super fab day and a wonderful lunch :drool Bur far too much to drink. Only 6 pm here and I may need to go to sleep :old

Enola, lovely to see you back amd I hope things are ok and that you have only been MIA due to lack of data :highfive:

This is what I did, but flying tandem was not allowed at Fort Funston back then, so we had to take off about a half mile away to the south. The wind blows in off the ocean, shoots up the cliff face and keeps the gliders aloft. Then you go back and forth along the cliff. This one is long, but you can get the idea in a minute or two. The day I went looked more like this, typical gloomy summer in San Francisco. There was fog forming as the wind rose up the cliff and I watched the top of a hawk as it flew below. Your hands get really cold. This is a pretty day and shows the housing subdivision where we took off. We didn't have music, though. :) The gliding community is very small. Everyone knows someone who has died doing it. The other two flights I took were at different locations. 2nd one made me start to question, and 3rd flight confirmed, that my pilot friend was lacking judgement. Or was willing to take huge risks. Either way, after the 3rd time, I quit while I was ahead. And alive.
When Megan and I went to Europe, we were lucky enough to get to do this!! We loved it! I would do it again in a heart beat.

yes and yes I do.  my whole leg now. Am I being a baby or is it that painful for everyone ?

I get it too and I go to a chiropractor to have my back cracked back into place. It is painful and I mean sometimes very painful, sit down and you may get trapped as the pain just won't let you move!! Move and the pain is just 100 times worse. As said pain killers don't really work on it until you can release that sciatic nerve. You are not being a baby granny :hugs
