just have to laugh sometimes huh

Now that's cold. Especially that long of a period.

not counting wind chills . I think if im remembering right we had a -40 with the wind..
I have to say Red, when my DD lived there they laughed at you all for "freezing" as they had just cam from S.D.

Everyone please pray for Mike. He is admitted tonight, dehydration, low potassium and magnesium, no appetite, severe wheezing, excess mucous..... His liver function is good, his sugar is good, blood is not too thick or too thin. He is getting so tired of this, I feel so sorry for him.

Oh, enola, sending all the healing thoughts his way!
I found my old rooster today sitting in the floor of the coop in distress. he was sitting with wings spread for balance. I thought he was dead. He is 8 yrs. old. So I picked him up and he was alive but cold . he also had his comb bloody and an eye with blood. Since I have had him for so many yrs . I put him in a broody box with heat, aspirin food and water. He is a red and blue old english but the size of a serama . I also noticed his poop was grey and water. Liver failure Im thinking and a fight.

Granny - what a beautiful boy! So sorry he is not doing well, sounds like he has had a good, LONG life thus far with you
D@mn, Granny, things just never get any better for us do they? I didn't even get to check my chickens today. I spent the whole day at the hospital again today. Mike is really getting sick of being sick. I have to go to work this morning. He is suppose to call me before they tuck him in.

On a good note - Megan found us a house with a front yard and a back yard today. It is not in the country, so I won't be able to take my chickens. Or my outside dog. I do get to keep my horse! It is a small house, but, I don't need a lot of the crap I have anyway. Downsizing will be good for me.

Good news on the house, but sorry about the chickens and outside dog
my son wont have anything to do with the chickens . he hates them. I have no idea why GS does that. attention maybe..
danna supposed to warm back up. hope it will be ok. them things are costly
I'm not that far away, you know, I could stop by......

my daughter did the same when she moved here from Mi. she would say you think this is cold lol

have to bug him a little since twists not on

hes waiting for my pills to kick in. frankly so am I . its been plenty enough time.
Granny, that's the problem with not taking your pain meds & muscle relaxer religiously. Just a delay in taking them (like when you drove daughter home) makes them less effective because your already in more pain because of the delay. Takes longer for them to work & for you to get relief.

Mare, you are welcome to come when ever you want. I know you are working long days and it gets dark early. even I wont go out there after dark because of the mice but darling you are more then welcome.
