Granny, your hen is probably an Iowa blue. A member here sent me some of those eggs. She said her hens laid blue eggs. When they arrived, they were "slightly" blue, but mostly green. I was told the "shade" of blue is in the eye of the beholder. B*llsjit. My grandson even said they were green.

Remember I have Cream Legbars that lay green eggs. They are supposed to be blue also. I have had trashy EE that laid BLUE eggs. All I can say is there are a lot of color blind people out there breeding chickens that lay "blue" eggs......
