Is that nephew? Gosh you look alike. Whazup with the chicken? Your arm is bleeding! What happened?

Hi all, back from my dinner with hubby & friends. Very yummy meal, stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey now.

Jane~ Happy Anniversary, sorry hubs is out of town. Can't remember, but I think you said 38 years, that's great! My hubby & I have been married 31 years. Just don't see too much of that anymore.

Camping ~ First off, so sorry about your roo, darn predators. Try not to beat up yourself, it wasn't your fault. You could have gotten up and looked when you heard a noise, but probably wouldn't have changed the outcome

Your runner is beautiful, have always wanted to know how to sew well. Sending you safe vibes for traveling tomorrow.

Newfie ~ So happy that your goodies came today. Hope you will enjoy them!

Lindalouly ~ You did a fabulous job on your chicken & nest. Best of luck in the contest. Really sorry about your troubles last night & you not feeling well this morning. Hope your feeling better tonight.

Red ~ Thank for checking in on our granny. Hopefully you won't be too sore & that the rain has stopped so you can get out hunting tomorrow.

Granny ~ Remember to have nephew look at your camera & see if he can show you how to use it tonight.

Papa ~ Glad to read that your toe is doing better with the soaking. Explain beans & tators please?

Hi Danna, Mutt, Wishing, Twist, Bert & anyone else I've missed, brain has used up all it oxygen, can't remember anything else lol.

I hide in the garage on my laptop so I don't have to watch any sport that has "ball" in the name. It gives DH alone time to watch what he likes best in the living rm on the big tv. Rodeo, show jumping, skiing pretty much anything else I enjoy.
We got the popcorn ceilings all scraped in the dining and living room!

What a messy job! Next is family room. My house looks like a war zone. Need to really get after this stuff before DH has to go back to work. his severance runs out in March, hence no Christmas fuss this year. I have too much stuff! No where to put it all so we can do it all at once. Talking out loud since the thread is slow tonight.
I am bound and determined to move. DH, doesn't really care one way or another, so there's little motivation to finish the half done projects or start the long overdue fixes. He is very handy, has NO get up and Go! Snail pace. Bugs me. K. done.
I'm not that much into watching sports on tv anymore. Gets kind of boring unless you are really into it. I spend too much time on here to be a much of a fan.

"Too much stuff" is my theme song! I'm terrible about getting rid of stuff too. Good luck to you. Oh, and I've never lived with popcorn on the ceiling unless it was a rental. Hubs scrapes it off too! Much better....

Dishes... I will complain about dishes and cooking instead. :D
Our well is busted. The whole camp's on city water. You should see the meter spin when we're filling up the pool.
Next time before you fill the pool, call the water company and tell them how many gallons. You should get a reduced rate for it.
:ep Reduced rate for more water? Try filling a pool in California and you would pay a hefty fine. Probably get arrested! It's like living on a different planet! :gig
https://www.backyardchickens.com/content/type/61/id/7194182/"]
Awesome!! Too pretty to eat! Good luck on the contest. I have to check it out.
https://www.backyardchickens.com/content/type/61/id/7194297/"]
Came out great, camping! Do you have one of those gridded mats and a roller cutter (like a pizza cutter)? Those work great, really fast. Sorry about your rooster. Sounds like the same M.O. for what got Emily. Time to trap it, or you risk losing more. :(
YES to mat and pizza cutter! I need to replace my blade, and honestly I think I need a new Matt. Mine is pretty chewed up.
I'm going to set the trap, but I don't know if it will do any good. The carcass is skinned on the back, missing the head. So I'm thinking a cat. The dogs were barking but I called them in instead of checking. :hit
Was this a little? It would be pretty rare for a domestic cat to kill a full sized roo I think and leave it there. Raccoon maybe?
I don't see a house cat size cat doing that to a roo. It had to be something bigger. My cats run if the chickens give them the stare. They don't want pecked! Even 15 lb Hemi flees from a silkie. lol I wouldn't trust them around chicks.
It was high noon on a sunshiny day. I can post crime scene pics if you want. I think anything bigger would've made off with the carcass. He went over halfway around the house before being killed. Literally, his feathers are on the south, west, and north sides. All of his tail sickles are just in front of the azaleas, so I think he was running for cover and almost made it. I know when it was because I saw him this morning, and I let the dogs out at 11. I let them back in because they were barking and bolted in the direction of the azaleas, but came back when I called.

nephew shared them to me of course. LOL he and I do look a like said that myself just 10 min. ago. rooster is hanging in a t shirt and he did that to my arm putting him in. Just a little skin, it will heal. LOL

That's a mystery. I just don't think cat. Cat wouldn't rip the head off and wouldn't chase all over the hard. . Stray dog?
