I finished my table runner! I'll take a pic later. We had gift exchange with my immediate fam last night. Left at 2:15, got home at 10. Stayed up til 4, then slept til 6:30. I wanted to be on the road by 8-10, but it was noon on the dot. That's pretty standard for me. I'm feeling pretty salty about DH's contributions to the whole process, but it's not worth bringing up.

I'm already counting the things I forgot.

:hugs - sounds like you could use one (or ten) of those!

An hour from home and I just realized I did not pack one single pair of socks for myself.

LOL   my sister could never remember to pack any undies.  EVER    this would just send mom over the edge  LOL   why because she always bought everyone new undies before a trip.  And then we get to where we are going and she would have to go buy more for my sister.

:lau :lau

I usually forget pjs for DH or myself because we don't use them at home.

That's what Walmart is for ---  I would be lost without my socks!

Cold tootsies are not fun!  Brrrrr.....

I always remind myself we can replace anything we forget.

AND I just realized I didn't bring my coat AGAIN. second year in a row. :hit

I forgot Jewel's leash AND collar; as soon as I mentioned it DH dove into a TSC. He's better come back with something pink. :rant

TSC has warm coats too.  If he comes back without, your turn to shop!

I packed two hoodies. That's all we need here. But it's going to be cold in Iowa.

NOT on my mom's watch LOL Keep in mind my sister wore/dirtied more clothes then us 3 boys together. This comment was made by another gal at the Laundromat in Jasper National Park in Canada so lady was visiting and helping mom fold clothes " I don't know which one that is but sure is a dirty/messy one"

lol - reminds me of when my sister came home to get married. It was all a bit of a cluster to begin with as she gave us about 6 weeks notice and was marrying someone we didn't even know (they met while deployed to Panama during that little dust-up). Anyway, the big day arrived and I was tapped to raid their bedroom to steal some underclothes for "decorating" the get-away car......except there were no men's underwear to be found. I was only 11 at the time and had no idea that some people didn't wear underwear, I was SOOOO confused.

When we all ent camping dad would get into bed with mom and ask her "how's it feel sleeping next to GOD"

and since I am the oldest son you all know what that makes me. J.C.

Like the old Bill Cosby routine about him and his brother and what they thought their names were (J.C. and G.D.) ---so they were outside playing in a puddle and dad came to the door hollerin' "G.D., get out of there!" to which he replied "But, Dad, I'm J.C."
