I thought the roo was dead because it was just hanging funny . head hanging down, eyes wide open and not blinking, not moving a muscle. I thought oh crap, hes dead . started taking him down and realized he was looking at me. I gave a little shake, are you alive ? aawk, he said. LOL so I filling the syringe and its too small. having a heck of a time . half hr. later I said screw it ! I lowered him to where he can lay/squat and tied him back off. I took the mix and set it in front of him. He dove into that like he was starved (he was) .

I am a bad chicken mama...

Git er done !!  So happy for your DH and yourself York !  I thought I was having a panic attack once. was standing in a very long line waiting to be frisked at the airport.  Nope, It was a heart attack.

Oh goodness on your attack!! That's the trouble isn't it, how do you know He's not one for a lot of fuss which made me think it was far worse. And he thought it was worse!! Have known people not get chest pains checked and then it was too late. Would rather be safe than sorry.

The store in PA wants me!!!!!! I have to go to work tomorrow and do some forms on the computer. They want me to be there by Jan 9th or 23rd, depending on when this store will release me!!!!!

I know why I cried. I didn't feel like I had any control over the situation. Each time before, he was at least listening to me as I talked to calm him down until help arrived. But, this time he was unconscious. I felt so helpless, useless. The rescue squad was there in no time at all, but since he wouldn't respond, it seemed lie foooooorrrrever!

But, he thinks he will be discharged on the 23rd, so he will be home for Christmas.

I get it, the lack of response back was the factor that set you off.

Give over your not, if he was that bad he would not be tucking in. This is what happened to my mother hen. Thought she was going to die but she could just not see. As soon as she was trimmed and tidy again she was back to normal. Do the others bully him out of food? If so he could just need fattening up.

Thank goodness this has turned out to be a chest infection causing the pains and tightness. They have done an ECG on his heart and it's beating normal so not a heart attack. He also calmed down after they told him that, think he was having a panic attack which just made things worse.
He has no history of heart trouble but does have COPD, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes which does not help.

Red, I received you card today.. It was beautiful, who ever wrote in it has absolutely beautiful handwriting.. so unlike my chicken scratch!!!!

your writing looks great. Pearl wrote first then I wrote on all the cards I think.

your , he has good weight. he injured his leg. I am guessing h was on the top and jumped down landing wrong. its about 10 ft. tall. wondering now how to fix that...

your , he has good weight. he injured his leg. I am guessing h was on the top and jumped down landing wrong. its about 10 ft. tall. wondering now how to fix that...

Does it look broken? Can you splint it?
Keeping him confined would be best to give it chance to rest and heal.
