Evening everyone, spent the day digging out from last nights snow storm. Didn't end up getting the ice, but the snow had enough moisture that it was packy & heavy. Took me 5 hours of shoveling & snowblowing to get the driveways cleared, the paths cleared & 2/3 of the chicken runs shoveled. The back deck didn't get cleared. The energizer bunny was out of batteries lol. Here is a couple pics.

Mind you, we didn't have any snow at 5 pm last night grr...

Send me.some please send a couple feet at least!!!!!

Would love to Papa, would have given you it all today. I cussed the paint right off the side of the neighbors barn every time the snowblower clogged with the heavy wet snow. Would have to shut it down & clean out the shoot & the auggers. If it happened once, it happened 10 times.

Thank granny, It was way too much to do. Came in and took 4 motrin, but feel like a Mac truck hit me. Changed out of soaking wet clothes then headed back out to do chicken chores. Sure would have been nice if the plow guy that was supposed to come to clear the second driveway would have plowed ours instead of the neighbors lol. He did come this evening after hubby found he hadn't come & called him. That's when he told him about plowing at the neighbors accidentally. He opened up the 2nd drive more.

that bull ! I dont know why you did that if someone was supposed to. I wold give him what for. Do you know more heart attacks occur doing what you did today then any other way ?

Well unfortunately it needed to be cleared before it froze solid & dd & her boyfriend wouldn't be able to get in it. And I'm pretty lucky in the heart department. Contrary to how my body looks, I have always worked heavy man work. That's why my backs so screwed up. If a job needs being done, I do it until I can't. Would much rather be doing what I did today instead of cleaning, cooking or laundry. I'm a outdoors kinda gal
