She was also laying in poop. I tried cleaning her up at first, then I put her in a big dog kennel with a deep layer of shavings. She would scoot around with her good foot and her wings and kept cleaner that way.

That's not good, but I didn't get one either. We agreed to not get each other anything because we have the expense of replacing the stove coming up. Plus without me having my self-employment income now, hubby would have to buy his own anyhow

I made no such agreement ! he got his at Christmas and again here in my birth month. .
