Good morning all! Just enjoying a peaceful morning before the rest of the house starts to stir - DD left before dawn to try to beat some weather that is headed into where she lives, which is why it's so peaceful, lol. Love the kid, but her dog and cat bring a whole new level of chaos to the house when she is here so can't say I was entirely sad to see them go........
Hope this Saturday finds everyone hale and hearty.

I have meant to say this before - but it is so neat to me to see another "oldie" mention playing xbox, I often feel like a bit of a schmuck for my Xbox habit as so many see it as something odd for a "grown up" to do.

That's excellent news if she is standing and eating and drinking on her own. Dehydration and malnutrition are more likely to kill a bird with this rather than actual wry neck.m

Absolutely! Supportive care (hydration and nutrition being key in that) is invaluable in addressing any issue and often more important than the "treatment" itself. A bird can overcome a lot as long as their bodies have the proper support to do it.

Camping, how long has he had these birds now? What kind of food does he have them on?

Since April 5th or so. He has them on Purina layer pellets and gives them scratch and something else. He was pretty indignant when I mentioned it was a vitamin deficiency, but sometimes these things just happen.

I forgot to say yesterday that DH got a deer on his last trip, and dropped it off Thursday for processing. He picked it up yesterday and it was packaged like this:

So we spent the evening repackaging everything.

@Yorkshire coop I'm talking to the man again, and he said his baby vitamins to not include selenium? Is that standard or a problem?

I think it depends which one you get. You can get selenium capsules at the health type stores along with the vitamin E capsules. You need to give the E and selenium at the same time so they work.
In general the polyvisol should do the trick or does he not have that brand?

Yes sometimes these things do just happen, he could be giving them too much scratch and other things. Therefore the vit levels from the feed could have dropped in this bird.
