I grew up ironing. It was my job to starch and iron dad's work shirts. He was a pilot, so they had to be perfect. Apparently everyone else used the dry cleaners, but I didn't know about that until I was older! Needless to say I don't iron except maybe a few times a year any more. Jeans and t-shirt just don't need it!
Who irons your button downs?

and My wife does. but she is a stay at home mom/teacher. soon, I'm sure, the girls will start helping.

I'm not nearly so picky tho. as long as most of the big wrinkles are out, I'm good.....

Good morning everybody!   :woot    Fudgetastic!  The birthday celebration continues!  Don't eat it all in one day and you can string this out for a month or so!  :drool

Yokel, I didn't know you had chicks hatching. Did you?  :D

Enola, loved that beautiful necklace and cutiepie GS.  He looks like what my gran used to say, "full of beans!"

Danna, :hugs so sad about your friends. Hopefully they never even woke up and passed without feeling anything.  :/

Twist, I think you earned significant brownie points.  Or perhaps we should change them to fudge points!  :drool

Got 6 under broody
5 more of the same type in incubator, Bantam EE lays blue

43ish quail eggs

AND 11 serama

Is Mexico safe? Even my brother-in-law won't go across the border.

Twist, you are indeed a wonderful candy and cookie maker. I stretched the fudge out for 2 weeks by eating a little bit every day.

I make my own vanilla. I get a bottle (1 quart?) of potato Vodka and 1.5 lbs whole vanilla beans sliced longways. Soak for a year, shaking occasionally. No sugar or water added so it will not taste like the market stuff. It will get stronger as it sets. Mine is about 6 years old now. You can pour off the vanilla and add half the amount of fresh alcohol over the beans. It will not be as strong. You can use the bean paste for cheesecake before soaking too.

I used to love liverwurst. I let a slice warm up so it was easier to spread on crackers (not saltines).

Yesterday was DH's 63rd birthday. He worked. It was also his client's bday. The family doesn't have much so he spent the last of our money buying cake and stuff. He was also a few hours early and off the clock. Ain't he a peach?
