Goodness me they feel so sore today

No infection that I can see but they are very weepy/bleeding. Got the dressings off right now to get some air to them and that is making it feel worse. So I'm going to have an early bath and get some clean ones back on.

I always heard the 3rd day is the worse .

A bath always makes me feel better.

Any injury to the hands is worse I think, because you need those hands! It constantly reminds you of the pain, and I hate the restriction.

howdy York.

burns like that are bad. a good soaking in some Epsom salt and then wrap with some triple anti biotic cream can help. but it will keep them weepy for longer.

#6 seems to be doing okay. The 2 other small chicks were a little wobbly at first too, and now they are fine. So maybe just time a little baby vit's will do it. I HAVE to take good pics today.

No hatching signs under Bunny.

She's not the brightest bulb in the coop, and I found a cool egg that was not quite under her. That might be the problem. 6 is plenty for me, and we can always try again in spring, if the broodies ever lay again!

I hope this bath and some good tablets down the neck are going to work. Charlie just gonna head out and lock the birds up for me, he's done the egg collecting too. Plus helped me with the horses, he's been a little star Good job he's off school this week.

I saw yer message on my board, I am so sorry! such terrible spot to boot! Glad yer lettin them air out some, dont want no nasty infection. I did that when son was cutting a tree down, I was a bit too light for the limb he cut and when it dropped it took me with it and stupid me kept hold a bit too long DOH, but that rope as a climbers rope so lucky for me the vetrycin cleared it perfectly and dried after application. sat for four days with nothing much to do with them hands, that goodness the other son came to stack all the wood and clean up after the mess. I feel yer pain. or um felt it. air them air them... hope they are better real soon
