my chicks go in lock down in 3 more days. Still dont have a spot for them. I would like to advertise them but who knows if any of them will hatch.. I am a bit worried about tom. These chicks he bought he is acting odd for him with them. they are scratching the food out and he is refilling it. the brooder is full of food. He sits there when he feeds them and talks to them like they are babies. Human babies. feeding them 2-3 times a day. hasnt gave water not once. I am keeping them watered.

Jane, meant to say, polish not complete free loaders. med. white egg bout ever other day. Rare they will go broody. York had one go broody in the time she has had them.

Three pullets and a cockerel. Not sure if I got all three or not. One of the pullets isn't full like the other two. She's got a "tomboy" look. I don't know what line, but the lady I got them from said the breeder has been in RIR for 50 years.

Very Nice !!! Been thinking about buckeyes because of this rich color . no worries of weather hurting them here . They were developed in Ohio for the climate

I have a speckled sussex hen with spurs. How can I tell except for locking her up if she is laying or too old ? If I lock her it maybe that shes just not laying right now. Please dont tell me to feel her butt.
