Linda lou just sink the bed frame a little in the dirt in the new chicken run and they can play on/over/around/ or under it. All kinds of different places.levels to hang treats off it as well

JUST DO NOT put it to close to the fence or they will use it to escape the run . Good job on that BTW

Thank you. I will give that a shot.. the ground is extremely rocky but when there is a will there is a way.. Hubby just informed me he wants to make the area bigger to go around the apple trees so the birds can play around there.

You can always play for money as an added incentive. like a quarter a game and a dime a set.

Sounds like your Tom has a case of spring fever!  Good to get out of the house and hope you have fun!

So far the only time my hens have eaten eggs is when they were accidentally broken, usually from weak shells.  Make sure your guys have oyster shells!  Good greens like kale, broccoli, and alfalfa are good for them and have extra calcium too!

How's your chick with the mystery troubles?  Any more crowing from the brooder?
I've founda few. A big oak had fallen in the highway and a 18 wheeler hit it about ten minutes after we went by. Idk if it fell on top of the truck or if the truck run into it
