yes salt brine and pickling spices. I did have to skim the top a couple times and add more salt water once.

what did you skim off or do I want to know ?

what we / they call salt pork up here I would actually call corned pork. To me it tastes like a cross between corned beef and ham

Morning Lisa, news said we got strong winds too. kid left his coat outside yesterday and it was soaked . Luckily I had time to get it dry before he had to leave.
