I think i got (they are from the feed store) easter eggers, orpingtons, Sebright(sp). 6 Total. Have to go back for antibiotics because I think they have a respiratory infection....

thats right these are your first chickens !!!! I never seen a little with respiratory inf.

Camping, 8ft. aint much. did you get your grocerys in ?

Nope. DH called and said we'd stock up tomorrow. Called back and said he'd go today. Then he came home, I was between chores and said I'd go. He said it wasn't a big deal, we didn't need to. We have enough frozen pizza, pasta, eggs, bread, etc. Ok fine. Then he calls when I'm trying to get the kids in bed (tv is twice too loud, DD is screaming crying, DS is singing to comfort DS) and asks if he needs to get groceries.

I'm bout to just be a river person, wade in and float away til I land somewhere nice.

Granny, there were 9 chickens in and 9 chickens out. Two at least were in the breezeway. The wind blew the pop door shut, so I need to get a latch for that too. Both roos were in and out towards dusk, so they might have made it in if the door had stayed open.

Oh! Forgot to say that I went to grab the chick to slip under Lagertha and candled the second. It's internally pipped! So I left the chick in for now, to help it's buddy and because it had been sleeping on the sponges and was still sopping wet. Hope it fluffs up eventually. I can sneak them both out tomorrow.

They have gone, very quiet now. Camping, the other chicks are a bit older I have a feeling they will get picked on or too slow to catch up and catch a chill. I hope they do well with her.

I'm just hoping she can't count. When I held a chick yesterday she could hear it peeping and got pretty agitated. Hoping she'll react that way again with the next two. They're confined to the coffin, so she can't get too far from them. The roo might would help, too. They're such a sweet family.

I went out to check on the ducks. they are still standing in the mud. with a couple of the chicks too. I guess they will sleep in it.
