No you can't granny, your situation now is the exact same one we were in and put in. We couldn't and as much as it broke my heart I know now we made the right one. It's a terrible position to be put in, heart and head fighting each other.

Not one person responded because we all know if the state has your kid your auto-guilty right ? We like to think the worse of people . In this case it may be true but I dont know. One thing I do know, I just cant. I know now why she has been calling and I cant.

It wouldnt be fair to the baby.

perhaps she could sue for grandparents rights . I dont know if that is different from state to state or not.  I will tell her about that. I had forgotten.

You should not have to and I'm not saying you could not but it's a lot of work, you need to look after yourself and your family.

It's a terrible situation, before Lauren was born I was a volunteer guardian ad Liteum , which simply means I was the child's advocate, I observed, and reported to the court, and made recommendations on the path the courts should take in the child's interest. Each case is different and I purposely made a concentrated effort to never make any decision without proper investigation . Unfortunately sometimes you have to make tough choices for the child's best interest.
