I totally agree and just because you NOW have 2 1/2 acres doesn't mean you have to have the whole thing as yard. Let what you can't take care of comfortably go back to "nature" That could be your earth day project for this year. Think of all the wildlife that would move in and all the birds. Churping at 3:30 in the morning.

hum camping must be busy cleaning out a brooder. or setting up a "fast and easy" one.

Must not be that fast or easy. LOL

nope, I started with a row of evergreen trees, pine and spruce, then shade trees in front of that and off set then the smaller flowering trees and then a row of flowering bushes then smaller evergreen box shrubs. I am able to mow in figure 8s around them til they get grown and "touch". I have had people stop and ask who planted this yard and how they would never mow it. I told one person that I didnt recall asking them to. None of this is in a row.

actually you did give me an Idea, I can still "plant" trees. My corkscrew willow . I just cut some branches and stick them in the dirt. They will make a tree. !!
